Sample Images of the Debris Tutorial
Debris – Part 1 – Lots of Glass

In this tutorial, I go over using Particle Flow to create exploding glass from the side of a
skyscraper.  The goal of this tutorial is to easily create a custom particle emitter, use that
emitter as a collision object to trigger exploding glass shards and then use forces to control
the movements of the glass.
Basic working knowledge of 3DS Max and Particle Flow are required.  I have included the Max
2008 Start and Finished files for this project.  You can download them here:

Tutorial Files (Requires Max 2008 or Higher)

Additional Notes:
  • The final render (although this is just a tutorial image) was created in After Effects.  The
fire and smoke were created using Particular and the motion blur was done via
    ReelSmart Motion Blur.
